StockPack support

Specify jars, lids, labels and flexible packs alongside the machinery.

The production route can only be proven against the intended commercial materials. Coordinate pack sourcing, drawings, tolerances, samples, artwork and supplier approvals before final machine acceptance.

Treat every packaging component as part of one system

A jar, cap and label that each meet their own drawing can still fail when combined. Review the filled, closed, decorated and distribution-ready pack as a complete assembly.

Primary container

Jars, bottles, pots, tubs, squeeze packs, tubes or other direct product-contact formats.

Closure or seal

Lids, caps, liners, membranes, foils, zippers, fitments and tamper-evident features.

Decoration

Pressure-sensitive labels, sleeves, pre-print and variable-code areas.

Secondary materials

Trays, sleeves, shrink film, cartons, cases, dividers and pallet materials.

Approve container geometry, material and tolerance

InputRecord before machinery approval
Supplier partExact reference, material, colour/clarity and manufacturing site where relevant.
DrawingCritical dimensions, tolerances, finish, opening, base and label panel.
Thermal conditionSupplier-supported fill, cooling, chilling and storage limits.
Contact compatibilityProduct, cleaner and anticipated shelf-life compatibility owned by the producer/supplier.
SamplingProduction-quality samples from representative lots, not hand-finished prototypes only.
Change controlMethod for approving changes in material, mould, finish, print or supplier.

Source the exact closure, liner and seal combination

Do not assume closures with the same nominal diameter are interchangeable. Thread/lug geometry, liner, height, stiffness and application window can differ.

  • Match closure and container supplier recommendations.
  • Record liner or membrane material and required compression/seal method.
  • Supply sufficient samples for feeding, application and fault trials.
  • Check colour, print, orientation and tamper-evident features.
  • Agree incoming inspection and supplier-lot traceability.
  • Retain approved samples and settings for future comparison.

Develop artwork around the real application panel

ItemPlanning detail
DielineFinished label dimensions, corner radius, gap and unwind direction.
Stock and adhesiveCompatible with surface, temperature, moisture and expected storage.
ArtworkQuiet zones, overlap, seam, panel, code box and legal information.
Roll constructionCore, roll diameter, number across, backing and splice method.
SleeveLayflat, cut length, seam, perforation, shrink curve and artwork distortion.
ApprovalProduction roll trial and acceptance after cooling/chilling/distribution simulation.

Control flexible-pack conversion and film specification

Pre-made pouch

Confirm dimensions, gusset, zipper, notch, laminate, seal area, orientation and print tolerance.

Rollstock film

Confirm structure, gauge, roll width, winding, print repeat, eye mark, sealant layer and machine direction.

Spouted pack

Approve fitment, cap, insertion/seal method and leak-test criteria.

Sachet collation materials

Define count, outer bag/carton, label and case requirements at the same time as the primary pack.

Release production print only after technical approval

Machine direction, code position, eye marks, seal zones, cut position and distortion compensation should be confirmed before committing to a full commercial run.

Supply enough materials to test normal running and failures

A handful of perfect samples may confirm fit but cannot prove feeding, variation, roll changes or sustained output. Agree trial quantities against the planned test.

Trial purposeMaterials needed
Initial feasibilityRepresentative product plus enough packs and closures to establish handling and filling.
Format developmentMultiple sizes/variants, drawings and samples covering supplier tolerances.
Seal developmentProduction film/foil/liner from the intended supplier with specification data.
Sustained runEnough saleable-quality materials for the agreed run and normal replenishment events.
Fault/reject testControlled examples or safe methods to challenge missing, skewed or incorrect conditions.
Reference retentionApproved samples, drawings, artwork revision and supplier lot information.

StockPack can coordinate the packaging-material enquiry

StockPack can help source or review jars, sachets, squeeze bottles, tubes, pouches, lids, labels and other packaging materials. Availability, minimum order, price, lead time and final suitability are confirmed against the live enquiry.
